Dear Peggy Sue,
I am a recent Sam Camp grad and Dan Asher gave me your name for some advice and support. When I went to Heart I felt like my purpose was to use my writing to demonstrate God’s heart to others. I didn’t do anything about that word. Five years later I choose to go through Sam Camp and the dream of writing came back up. One of my goals was to write a book. I actually wrote 10 children’s books in Sam Camp. (Once I started writing, it just flowed out!) In the last month I have started a blog on wordpress and I am loving it. My question is, how do I improve my writing style and techniques? How do I publish my works? I am also a divorced single mom and this is very scary for me. I am open to any feedback and support you would offer.
Thank you for your time,
Hannah

Hi Hannah,
Get writing coaching and get involved with professional writers at the Christian Writers Guild. They offer writing courses where you are mentored by a writer who makes a living at the craft. Look up the Christian Writers Guild on the web. To sign up for a course, call Leilani at 866.495.5177. Also, join or start a Word Weavers writers critique group in your area.
As a single mom, it is vital that you create a nurturing environment for your children. Get a copy Rediscovering Your Happily Ever After: Moving from Hopeless to Hopeful for the Newly Divorced Mom. Order it through Amazon. Also, the book What To Do When You’re Scared To Death will be helpful. Remember, whatever is over your head is under His feet. Write on!
